The Dance of the Gobblewalkers
The Dance of the Gobblewalkers
About
Turkeys are quite the strange little bird. They can live just about anywhere in North America regardless of just about anything. Some of my earliest members as a kid are of watching turkeys outside of my grandpa’s house. Seeing them up close, they get even weirder.
The “Dance of the Gobblewalkers” is meant to depict the strange, haphazard movements that turkeys do every second of their lives. The piece starts out depicting the early morning when the turkeys have just woken up and are causing a rustle in the bushes. Then, out of nowhere, they erupt from the bushes and begin to dance across the field, having the time of their lives.
